COMMUNITY AWARD 2025

Long Eaton Community Garden is proud to announce we have been awarded the Green Flag Community Award 2025.

Our volunteers work hard to ensure the garden is a welcoming, inclusive and accessible space for the whole community.

The judging process explored the following criteria:

Garden Artist of the Year 2025
On Saturday 31st May 2025 we held our first Garden Artist of the Year competition.
12 local artists took part and we had a superb day. The weather was kind to us, everyone found somewhere in the garden they would like to paint and off they went.
They had four hours to complete their paintings before the judging.
Our judges were Diana Shepherd, Angela Marie Nicholls and Pictoria Victoria

The work produced was of an excellent standard and the judges had a very hard task choosing the winner.
​
Congratulations to everyone who took part. The winner was Martin Wright and Alix Barker was highly commended.
