We are delighted to announce that the Community Garden has been awarded the Green Flag Community Award for the second year running.
On Sunday 19th July we welcomed 15 artists to the Community Garden for our painting challenge.
The standard of entries was superb, making it a very difficult task for the three judges. However Doug Leman was the very worthy winner with his amazing painting of our garden shed.
Doug won a trophy made for us by local Long Eaton eco refill and woodwork business Ora Handmade Designs and his work will be framed by another great local business Tobi Frames. Long Eaton Asda donated refreshments and a prize hamper.
The day was captured by David Fresnel's wonderful photographs.

Time Swap members.

Garden Artist of the Year 2025
On Saturday 31st May 2025 we held our first Garden Artist of the Year competition.
12 local artists took part and we had a superb day. The weather was kind to us, everyone found somewhere in the garden they would like to paint and off they went.
They had four hours to complete their paintings before the judging.
Our judges were Diana Shepherd, Angela Marie Nicholls and Pictoria Victoria
The work produced was of an excellent standard and the judges had a very hard task choosing the winner.
Congratulations to everyone who took part. The winner was Martin Wright and Alix Barker was highly commended.
Very grateful thanks to our sponsor Tobi Frames and to Ora Wooden Designs, Asda, Pictoria Victoria and Arena Awards. Thanks also to our wonderful garden volunteers who helped on the day.
